Count Me In believes that training and business consulting are important services that will help you obtain the skills and develop networks that you will need to make your business successful. Local programs in your community provide training classes and workshops on how to start a business, technical training in marketing and finance, and support groups for self-employed individuals.
The following are three sources you can use to find local organizations in your community that provide training:
Women Business Centers are funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA). There are over 70 Women Business Centers in the United States that provide a variety of services, which may vary by organization. Click here to find a center in your community. www.onlinewbc.org
Microenterprise Programs - There are over 300 microenterprise programs providing training and assistance to self-employed and micro businesses. The Association of Enterprise Opportunity is a trade association of all of the programs in the United States. You can find a program in your community at AEO's web site.
